Software Engineer – AI Engineering

About the role

Applied Intuition is seeking an AI‑focused Software Engineer to join a small, high‑impact team building the AI infrastructure, agent frameworks, and application platform that power all of its products. This is a 0‑to‑1 role with real customer demand and the opportunity to shape a new business line while working within a well‑resourced company.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and ship shared AI infrastructure, frameworks, and tooling used across Applied’s product portfolio.
• Partner with product teams to identify high‑leverage AI use cases and move them from concept to production.
• Serve as the company’s GenAI/LLM expert, defining best practices for architecture, safety, evaluation, and deployment.
• Build and deliver agentic systems such as background coding agents and AI‑driven SRE tooling.
• Engage directly with external and internal customers to gather requirements, demo capabilities, and influence the product roadmap.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• At least 2 years of experience building software systems.
• Strong interest in AI, generative models, and large‑language‑model technologies.
• Ability to work autonomously in a fast‑moving, startup‑like environment.

Required skills

• Experience with AI/ML infrastructure and tooling.
• Familiarity with generative AI and large‑language‑model concepts.
• Software engineering fundamentals and proficiency in at least one programming language.
