Software Development Platform Engineer

About the role

AVEVA is seeking a Software Development Platform Engineer to own and evolve its Azure DevOps and GitHub based development platform. You will ensure platform stability, security, and efficiency while supporting engineering teams across the organization.

Key responsibilities

• Administer Azure DevOps and GitHub organizations, including projects, repositories, pipelines, permissions, and policies.
• Manage platform governance such as branch protections, environment controls, and repository standards.
• Oversee identity, access, and security for service principals, managed identities, and application registrations.
• Implement token lifecycle management, RBAC, conditional access, and audit identity usage.
• Support SDLC and CI/CD enablement by building, maintaining, and troubleshooting pipelines in Azure DevOps and GitHub Actions.
• Promote automation best practices, artifact management, and release engineering.
• Deploy and maintain security tooling (SAST, dependency scanning, secrets detection) and ensure secure pipeline configurations.
• Assess and integrate AI‑assisted development tools while enforcing data protection, token hygiene, and compliance.
• Document standards, patterns, and platform configurations and contribute to architecture evolution.

Required profile

• Strong experience administering Azure DevOps and GitHub at scale.
• Deep understanding of CI/CD pipelines, DevSecOps, and platform governance.
• Proven ability to manage identity, access controls, and security compliance.
• Track record of improving reliability and speed of software delivery.
