Software Development Manager – WiFi Team

About the role

eero is seeking a seasoned Software Development Manager to lead the WiFi team responsible for the connectivity experience of its mesh routers. You will guide a high‑performing engineering group, shape product road‑maps, and ensure customers enjoy reliable, fast WiFi at home.

Key responsibilities

• Hire, mentor, and coach a team of engineers focused on WiFi connectivity, mesh routing, and client performance.
• Collaborate with other device‑software teams at eero headquarters to deliver high‑impact features on tight timelines.
• Translate high‑level product concepts into detailed schedules, technical requirements, and delivery estimates.
• Drive process improvements, manage headcount, recruiting, and performance evaluations.
• Provide hands‑on technical leadership, contribute code, and conduct rigorous code reviews in Go, C, and Python.
• Analyze performance and stability data from testing and production to catch regressions and validate new features.

Required profile

• 4+ years of engineering team management experience.
• 8+ years of software engineering experience.
• 8+ years leading definition and development of multi‑tier web services.
• Strong knowledge of full software/hardware/network development life‑cycle practices, including coding standards, source control, build processes, testing, and certification.
