Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET)

About the role

CACI is hiring a Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) in Denver to design and develop automated testing for software architectures in a cloud-based RF environment. The engineer supports a multidisciplinary team delivering a mission-critical force protection system, works with RF hardware engineers and system designers, and reports risks and opportunities to program executive leadership. The position requires a Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility and up to 10% local travel.

Key responsibilities

• Help ensure the quality, reliability and performance of the system
• Design and develop applications, create interfaces, write and run test plans, and identify defects
• Work across manual and automated testing, balancing thoroughness with delivery timelines
• Collaborate with developers and build a continuous improvement plan for testing processes
• Document test cases, procedures, RVTMs and test plans, and track defects with reproduction steps and severity assessments
• Report test outcomes and give actionable feedback to developers and stakeholders

Required profile

• US citizen with an active Top Secret clearance and SCI eligibility
• 3+ years of software engineering experience
• Bachelor's degree or higher in computer engineering or a related field
• Hands-on experience with test automation tools such as Bruno and Postman, and exposure to API testing
• Comfortable working in a Linux environment
