Software Developer / Senior Developer (High Value Asset)

About the role

The Federal Reserve Bank of Cleveland is seeking a Software Developer or Senior Software Developer to work on high‑value asset (HVA) applications. The position involves the full software lifecycle, from design through production support, for mission‑critical banking systems.

Key responsibilities

• Design, prototype, develop, debug, test, deploy, and document complex application software with performance and scalability optimization.
• Analyze intricate business requirements and implement automated solutions to improve processes, user experience, and new product launches.
• Collaborate with internal and external developers to resolve complex system and environmental issues.
• Provide technical support throughout the application lifecycle, including migrations and 24x7 on‑call support as needed.
• Incorporate bank, system controls, SAFR, DLP, privacy, and audit requirements into software implementations.
• Follow secure coding, contingency, deployment, and development standards.
• Lead or assist technology projects and produce related documentation.
• Coach and mentor senior programming staff.

Required profile

• U.S. citizenship is mandatory.
• Proven experience in designing, developing, and maintaining complex software applications.
• Ability to work independently and as a team mentor.
• Strong problem‑solving skills and a commitment to innovation, quality, and schedule adherence.
