About the role
We are seeking a Software Developer to join the Georgia Department of Revenue team in a hybrid capacity. The role involves designing, coding, testing, and maintaining applications, with a focus on the GenTax COTS system.
Key responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, modify and debug computer software.
- Research and analyze program or system problems and produce documentation.
- Translate business requirements into secure, maintainable code.
- Support configuration and maintenance of the GenTax COTS application.
Required profile
- U.S. citizenship or permanent resident status.
- Must be local to Metro Atlanta and willing to relocate if necessary.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems or related field (preferred).
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
- Ability to pass background check, provide a Georgia tax clearance letter, and undergo fingerprinting.
Required skills
- Working knowledge of Structured Query Language (SQL).
- Experience with Microsoft .NET development.
