Software Developer – Full Stack & Cybersecurity

About the role

MANTECH is seeking a motivated, mission‑oriented Software Developer Subject Matter Expert to join the LogiCole Software Engineering team supporting the MEDLOG IT PMO at Ft. Detrick, MD. The role is hybrid, with three days onsite and flexible telework options.

Key responsibilities

• Participate in agile team activities, including backlog grooming and story sizing.
• Develop code following cybersecurity, design, 508, and style standards, documenting designs, unit tests, and conducting code reviews.
• Contribute to product evaluations and ensure compliance with DoD security requirements.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in IT, Cybersecurity, Data Science, Information Systems, or Computer Science, or 6 years experience plus a relevant certification.
• Minimum 10 years of full‑stack development experience and 5 years on agile teams (SCRUM/SAFe).
• U.S. citizenship with ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust and Tier 2 investigation.

Required skills

• Solid Java 17 development, experience with JBoss/Wildfly or SpringBoot.
• Front‑end development using Angular and JavaScript.
• Design and consumption of RESTful APIs.
• Experience with relational and NoSQL databases.
• Knowledge of mTLS, CAC, PIV, OIDC, SAML authentication.
• Familiarity with messaging systems such as ActiveMQ, Artemis, Kafka.
• Use of AI‑assisted coding tools, containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), and AWS cloud services.
• Scripting with Bash, PowerShell, and Python 3; microservice architecture.
