SOC Analyst – Shift Work (Chandler, AZ)

About the role

We are seeking a U.S. citizen to join our client’s Security Operations Center in Chandler, AZ. The SOC Analyst will work on a rotating shift schedule, including occasional overnight shifts, to monitor the client’s network and security infrastructure.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor network traffic, Intrusion Detection Systems (IDS) and security event logs in real time.
• Prioritize and differentiate genuine intrusion attempts from false alarms.
• Develop, maintain and follow SOC Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
• Produce daily and monthly situation reports for each shift.
• Analyze large data sets to identify anomalous activity.
• Create detective content for IDS and SIEM platforms and recommend proactive blocking rules.
• Track security investigations from initiation to resolution and compose alert notifications.
• Advise incident responders on investigation steps and stay current on emerging vulnerabilities, attacks and counter‑measures.

Required profile

• U.S. citizenship and active Secret clearance.
• High school diploma or GED.
• At least two years of experience in information security or incident response.
• Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH) or CompTIA CySA+ certification, plus a DOD 8570‑approved certification within six months of hire.
• Ability to work a shift schedule, including overnight hours.
