Small Business Loan Specialty Origination & Servicing Manager

About the role

The Small Business Loan Specialty Origination & Servicing Manager leads the Small Business Servicing team, ensuring high‑quality loan processing, compliance, and customer service.

Key responsibilities

• Daily management of the loan servicing team to meet workflow deadlines and maintain data integrity for CECL reporting.
• Oversee issue monitoring, control implementation, and audit compliance for core and ancillary systems.
• Act as technical liaison to design and update operational, servicing, and documentation procedures.
• Perform complex loan servicing tasks, lead post‑closing activities, and conduct SOX testing as needed.
• Collaborate with Underwriters, Branch Managers, and Business Bankers to support credit requests and meet SLA metrics.
• Hire, coach, and develop team members, conduct performance appraisals, and ensure succession planning.
• Reconcile General Ledger accounts and respond to auditors or examiners.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or Finance preferred.
• 3‑5 years of small business loan or banking experience.
• 2‑6 years of supervisory experience (formal or informal).
• Strong knowledge of small business loan products, credit policy, and regulatory compliance.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
• Experience using loan support systems and core banking platforms.
• Ability to perform SOX testing and General Ledger reconciliation.
• Knowledge of CECL data requirements and audit controls.
