Signal Integrity Engineer

About the role

Cornelis Networks is seeking a Signal Integrity Engineer to lead high‑speed interface design for its next‑generation fabric platforms. The role spans simulation, lab validation, and production support for PCIe, Ethernet and related technologies.

Key responsibilities

• Perform SI simulation including modeling, pre/post‑data processing and analysis.
• Support high‑speed interface interconnect and channel simulation and analysis.
• Conduct lab measurements such as SerDes tests, cable evaluation, and correlate results with simulations.
• Provide design guidelines based on simulation and 3D modeling activities.
• Collaborate with mechanical, electrical, software, test and manufacturing teams to move products into production.
• Review platform designs to ensure signal paths meet specifications for PCIe, Ethernet and other high‑speed interfaces.

Required profile

• 3+ years of experience using electromagnetic (EM) simulation tools.
• BS or MS in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or a related field.
• Strong understanding of transmission‑line theory, S‑parameters and impedance matching.
• Knowledge of SI fundamentals for complex structures such as packages, BGA, connectors and PCBs.
• Proficiency in scripting languages such as Matlab and Python.
• Experience creating technical documents, design guidelines and simulation‑test correlation reports.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
