Shipping & Receiving Assistant

About the role

The Shipping & Receiving Assistant supports the campus facilities by handling the purchase, receipt, storage, inventory, issue and delivery of materials and supplies. The position works with powered and non‑powered handling equipment and ensures accurate documentation of service orders.

Key responsibilities

• Receive, check, store, inventory, issue and deliver materials, equipment and supplies.
• Operate powered or non‑powered material handling equipment and delivery trucks.
• Prepare and file forms related to receipt, purchasing and delivery of goods.
• Confirm and document completion of service orders.

Required profile

• One year of experience in receipt, storage or issuance of materials in a stockroom or warehouse.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to work safely with heavy supplies and equipment and perform manual labor.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast‑paced, team‑oriented environment.

Required skills

• Operation of forklift and other powered material handling equipment.
• Working knowledge of inventory management and record‑keeping.
• Basic arithmetic and ability to match names and numbers accurately.

• Salary range $3,480 – $5,069 per month (Step 1).
