Assistant Equipment Manager

About the role

The Fresno State Athletic Corporation is seeking an Assistant Equipment Manager to support the operation of athletic equipment rooms for assigned sports. The role works a flexible schedule that may include evenings, weekends, and travel with teams to away events.

Key responsibilities

• Assist with daily operation and organization of equipment rooms for multiple sports.
• Maintain inventory control, move and handle equipment weighing over 50 lb, and support procurement processes.
• Ensure compliance with NCAA, Pac‑12, university and conference regulations related to equipment.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum one year experience as an athletic equipment manager or attendant at a collegiate institution.
• Ability to work flexible hours, supervise subordinates, and interact professionally with diverse individuals.

Required skills

• Basic knowledge of sports equipment and facilities needs.
• Familiarity with procurement practices and NCAA/Pac‑12 equipment rules.
• Experience with a computerized inventory program, email, and Microsoft Excel.
