Shipping and Receiving Coordinator

About the role

Join Alfa Laval’s hygienic fluid handling team as a Shipping and Receiving Coordinator. You will manage inventory control, oversee inbound and outbound shipments, and support production by ensuring timely material delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Unpack, inspect, and record incoming shipments, rejecting damaged items and coordinating with vendors.
• Operate forklifts or hand trucks to move freight between shipping platforms and storage areas.
• Perform daily equipment inspections and troubleshoot issues, communicating with team leaders or purchasing as needed.
• Maintain accurate logs, affix shipping labels, and ensure proper packaging to meet quality standards.
• Conduct inventory counts, manage Kanban and Min/Max systems, and oversee recycling and scrap disposal.

Required profile

• High school diploma or GED.
• Basic desktop computer and math skills, including ability to read tape measures and micrometers.
• Prior manufacturing experience preferred.
• Forklift certification and overhead crane experience are advantageous.
