Local CDL-A Shuttle Driver – $70K + $5K Bonus

About the role

Drive intermodal freight on daily runs between Indianapolis and Chicago, enjoying home‑daily and an average of 2,000 miles per week. Online orientation is available and drivers receive extra pay for customer loads, rail delays, detention and other qualifying moves.

Key responsibilities

• Report daily to the Indianapolis terminal for dispatch and truck assignment.
• Complete daily Chicago runs and additional local routes within a 100‑mile radius.
• Slip‑seat and receive truck assignments at the yard; tractors stay at the yard during time off.

Required profile

• Valid Class A CDL with at least 3 months of verifiable truck‑driving experience.
• Clean driving record and valid DOT medical card.
• No SAP drivers; Hazmat endorsement required within 60 days of hire (cost reimbursed).

Required skills

• Class A CDL operation.
• Hazmat endorsement.

What we offer

• Average annual pay of $81,000 plus a $10,000 bonus.
• Mileage pay $0.53–$0.60 per mile, plus extra rates for customer loads, drop‑and‑hook moves, rail delays and detention.
• Paid time off: 12 PTO days + 6 holidays initially, increasing with tenure up to 32 days after 19 years.
• No smoking inside the truck; passengers not permitted.
