Shipper – Logistics Operations

About the role

Join BASF’s Performance Chemicals team in Attapulgus, GA as a Shipper. You will be responsible for the safe and efficient movement, handling, packaging, storage, and shipment of raw materials and finished products within a 12‑hour shift environment.

Key responsibilities

• Perform shared logistics duties, including housekeeping audits, safety inspections, and workload prioritisation.
• Direct truck drivers from staging areas using telephones, CB radios, and plant radios, and spot trucks according to procedures.
• Operate, maintain and perform minor repairs on forklifts, pre‑loader vehicles, blender loading systems, tote‑bin loaders, scales, chutes and conveyors.
• Load and stage super sacks, tote bins, sea bulk containers and domestic FCC shipments.
• Manufacture and package additive products, weighing and blending components, generating SDS shipping labels and packaging for transfer.
• Manage inventory and warehouse activities using computer and scanner systems, receive supplies, verify quantities and control stock by lot and grade.

Required profile

• Ability to work 12‑hour shifts in an onsite environment.
• Commitment to follow process safety, environmental, health and quality guidelines.
• Capability to work independently while following written and verbal instructions.
