Service Technician – Student Living at Gateway, Tempe

About the role

We are looking for a Service Technician to join our student‑living community at Gateway in Tempe. You will ensure that the building’s physical systems, grounds and common areas meet Greystar’s standards for cleanliness, safety and functionality.

Key responsibilities

• Respond to resident service requests and complete work orders, diagnosing issues and performing repairs in line with safety codes and company procedures.
• Execute the “make‑ready” process for vacant units, including pre‑move‑out inspections, creating punch lists, coordinating vendors, and completing all necessary maintenance tasks.
• Manage inventory of tools, supplies and equipment, track usage and notify the supervisor of re‑order needs.
• Maintain common areas and amenities by removing trash, pressure‑washing breezeways and pool areas, performing general cleaning, and painting curbs or signage as required.
• Document all service activities accurately and promptly to ensure proper tracking.
• Support cost‑control initiatives by repairing rather than replacing parts whenever possible.

Required profile

• Ability to read and follow work orders, safety guidelines and building codes.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high standards of appearance and safety.
• Good organizational skills for inventory management and scheduling.
