Service Technician - Mason Oliver
Greystar · Phoenix
Job description
About the role
A full-time Service Technician is needed at the Mason Oliver property in Phoenix, Arizona. The role performs technical and mechanical work so that the buildings, grounds, amenities and common areas of the property meet the company's standards for cleanliness, appearance, safety and functionality.
Key responsibilities
- Complete work orders from resident service requests and preventative maintenance by diagnosing problems and repairing them according to policy, safety standards and code requirements.
- Carry out the make-ready process for vacant apartments: pre-move-out inspection, punch list, scheduling vendors, obtaining supplies, finishing maintenance and inspecting completed work.
- Track inventory of materials and tools, return unused items and notify the maintenance supervisor of re-order needs.
- Complete service documentation accurately and on time so requests can be tracked.
- Help maintain grounds and common areas: pick up trash, pressure-wash breezeways and pool areas, clean and paint curbs and signage as needed.
- Support cost control by fixing rather than replacing parts and using materials and tools correctly.
- Take part in safety meetings, OSHA and other safety training, and report accidents and incidents promptly.
- Periodically check contractor and vendor work against quality standards and help with property inspections.
Required profile
- EPA certification Type I and II or Universal for refrigerant recycling (Certified Service Technicians).
- All certifications required by state and local jurisdictions.
- Valid driver's license to operate a golf cart on property where applicable.
- Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus.
- Physical ability to stand, walk, sit, climb ladders, lift up to 25 pounds alone and 50 pounds with help, and work in all weather; flexible schedule including call-outs on evenings, weekends and holidays; occasional travel to other properties or training.
What we offer
- Medical, dental, vision, disability and life insurance, with low employee medical costs.
- Paid time off: 15 vacation days, 4 personal days, 10 sick days and 11 paid holidays, plus birthday off after 1 year.
- 401(k) with company match up to 6% after 6 months.
- Paid parental leave and fertility benefit reimbursement up to $10,000, plus an employee assistance program.
- Weekly, monthly and/or quarterly bonus programs for onsite property positions, and a possible annual bonus for corporate positions.
- Housing discount at Greystar-managed communities for onsite team members, and a 6-week paid sabbatical after 10 years.
