SEO Team Lead

About the role

We are seeking an SEO Team Lead to drive high‑impact search optimisation for a portfolio of US‑based clients. This senior, remote‑first position blends strategic SEO expertise with people leadership in an AI‑enabled digital marketing environment.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute data‑driven SEO strategies aligned with client business objectives.
• Build trusted relationships with senior client stakeholders, including C‑level executives.
• Identify and pursue account growth opportunities through retention, upselling and cross‑selling.
• Lead, mentor and develop a team of SEO professionals, overseeing performance and career progression.
• Translate SEO performance metrics (rankings, traffic, conversions, revenue) into actionable insights.
• Leverage AI tools to improve workflow efficiency and experiment with innovative optimisation techniques.
• Contribute to hiring, sourcing and interviewing new team members.

Required profile

• 7+ years of experience in SEO, digital marketing or integrated search strategy, preferably agency‑based.
• Proven track record leading SEO for enterprise or high‑growth accounts.
• Strong client‑facing skills with ability to influence C‑level stakeholders.
• Experience managing and developing teams of at least four direct reports.
• Excellent analytical ability to connect SEO results to broader business outcomes.
