Senior WorkForce Software Functional Implementation Consultant

About the role

Next Generation, Inc. is seeking an experienced WorkForce Software Functional Implementation Consultant to support complex workforce management initiatives for large enterprise clients, including Fortune 500 organizations. The role involves direct collaboration with customers to understand operational needs, assess current systems, and guide them toward optimized solutions on the WorkForce Software platform.

Key responsibilities

• Engage daily with clients to understand workforce challenges, assess system requirements, and analyze existing business processes.
• Conduct functional assessments and translate client needs into tailored WorkForce Software configuration strategies and best‑practice recommendations.
• Apply deep HCM knowledge to architect end‑to‑end workforce management solutions for complex business scenarios.
• Lead implementations of WorkForce Software technologies while incorporating refined processes, updated tools, and modern methodologies.
• Partner with technical teams and stakeholders to ensure successful execution across all phases of the implementation lifecycle.

Required profile

• 4–6 years of experience on software implementation projects, including requirements gathering, analysis, and documentation.
• Hands‑on background implementing or training end‑users on packaged enterprise applications or complex internal systems.
• Ability and willingness to travel 50–75%, primarily to Chicago, depending on project demands.
• College degree is welcome but not required; demonstrated ability and relevant experience are valued.

Required skills

• Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office tools, especially Excel, for managing and interpreting large datasets.
• Familiarity with common delivery approaches such as Waterfall and Agile.

What we offer

• Competitive full‑time salary range of approximately $135,000‑$165,000 USD based on experience, education, and location.
