Senior Vice President of Operations

About the role

Serverfarm is seeking a Senior Vice President of Operations to act as the COO’s deputy and drive the execution of global operational strategy across its rapidly expanding data‑center portfolio. This executive will partner with product, development, construction, finance, legal, security and commercial teams to translate corporate vision into actionable plans.

Key responsibilities

• Provide executive leadership across all global operations, ensuring continuity of decision‑making and execution as second‑in‑command to the COO.
• Represent Operations with the Board, investors and key customers, translating strategy into operational road‑maps and growth plans.
• Establish and govern global operational standards, SOPs, maintenance frameworks and KPI dashboards (uptime, SLA, MTTR, energy, safety, staffing, customer experience).
• Maintain robust compliance frameworks across all regions, covering regulatory obligations, certifications and internal controls.
• Oversee business continuity, disaster recovery and crisis‑management processes, leading root‑cause analysis and executive response for major incidents.
• Drive continuous improvement, standardisation and efficiency across regions, embedding best‑practice operational discipline.
• Provide executive oversight of the Global Network Operations Centre (GNOC) to ensure 24/7 monitoring and incident management.

Required profile

• Proven senior leadership experience in global operations, preferably within data‑center, cloud‑infrastructure or related technology environments.
• Demonstrated ability to work with executive boards, investors and large enterprise customers.
• Strong track record of building and scaling operational processes, compliance programs and performance measurement systems.
• Excellent crisis‑management and business‑continuity expertise.
