Senior Technical Accountant (Remote, US GAAP)

About the role

We are looking for a senior‑level Technical Accountant with hands‑on US GAAP experience to join a fast‑growing finance team. This remote position focuses on lease accounting, 409A valuations, and stock‑based compensation, serving as the primary contact for external auditors on complex accounting matters.

Key responsibilities

• Own lease accounting under ASC 842, including classification, ROU asset and liability schedules, modifications, remeasurements and related disclosures.
• Support 409A valuation processes by coordinating with providers, preparing cap tables, financials and comparable inputs, and reviewing draft reports.
• Prepare and record stock‑based compensation entries under ASC 718 and maintain equity‑related schedules.
• Manage month‑end and year‑end close activities, including journal entries, accruals, reconciliations and close checklists.
• Prepare technical accounting memos and audit‑ready documentation for complex transactions.
• Serve as primary contact for external auditors on lease and equity accounting areas.

Required profile

• 5+ years of accounting experience with at least 2 years in US GAAP environments.
• Direct, demonstrable ASC 842 experience (implementation or ongoing compliance).
• Exposure to 409A valuations and/or ASC 718 stock‑based compensation accounting.
• Public‑accounting background (Big Four or large regional firm) or experience at a US company/startup.
• Advanced English (C1+) and strong remote collaboration experience.
