Senior Tax Analyst

About the role

This position is part of a fast‑growing global marketplace finance team. Based in the United States, the Senior Tax Analyst will ensure accurate and compliant indirect tax operations across multiple U.S. jurisdictions, supporting the company’s scaling initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and review indirect tax filings and supporting workpapers for U.S. sales and use tax compliance.
• Maintain sales and use tax account reconciliations during month‑end and quarter‑end close processes.
• Assist with financial reporting, including journal entries, reconciliations, and tax‑related schedules.
• Manage tax audits, notices, and inquiries by gathering documentation and coordinating timely responses.
• Monitor changes in state and local tax legislation, assess impact, and implement required updates.
• Research tax implications of new products and business initiatives, providing recommendations to reduce exposure.
• Partner with Finance, Accounting, Legal, Product, and Operations teams to embed tax requirements into workflows.
• Support tax system testing, user acceptance testing (UAT), issue tracking, and validation of tax engine outputs.

Required profile

• 3+ years of experience in tax, accounting, or finance roles, preferably in a corporate environment.
• Strong understanding of U.S. multi‑state sales and use tax regulations and indirect tax compliance processes.
• Hands‑on experience with tax reconciliations, workpapers, and month‑end accounting support.
• Ability to analyze large data sets and identify discrepancies in tax calculations.
