Senior Systems Administrator – Hybrid (Marlborough, MA)

About the role

We are looking for a Senior Systems Administrator to oversee and support our enterprise physical and virtual server environment. The role is hybrid, based in Marlborough, MA, and offers a 6‑plus month engagement with competitive hourly rates.

Key responsibilities

• Administer and maintain both physical and virtual server infrastructures.
• Manage VMware environments, including performance monitoring and VMware Aria Operations.
• Support Microsoft Azure and Office 365 services, including Exchange Online and Exchange on‑premises.
• Administer Active Directory, SCCM, and enterprise storage platforms such as Pure Storage, ExaGrid, Dell Isilon, and Varonis.
• Implement and maintain backup, recovery, and disaster‑recovery solutions (Veeam, Veeam Data Cloud).
• Develop automation scripts using PowerShell and related tools.
• Monitor system performance, security, and overall infrastructure health.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to drive infrastructure upgrades and operational improvements.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field, or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of server administration experience.
• Strong experience with VMware or similar virtualization technologies.
• Proven leadership, project coordination, and infrastructure management skills.
• U.S. citizenship or Green Card holder.
