Senior Staff Global Supply Manager – EE & Semiconductor

About the role

ALSO is seeking a Senior Staff Global Supply Manager to own the electronics and silicon supply base for its electric vehicles, guiding sourcing from concept through mass production. You will partner closely with Engineering, Manufacturing, and NPI teams and act as the commercial lead with key manufacturers.

Key responsibilities

• Build and execute a global sourcing strategy for EE components and semiconductors across current and next‑gen vehicle roadmaps.
• Own the semiconductor technology roadmap and align product architecture with supplier and industry trends.
• Manage the full supplier lifecycle, from qualification to performance evaluation, including the Approved Vendor List.
• Negotiate long‑term agreements, Master Purchase Agreements, and quality terms for high‑priority parts.
• Lead BOM scrubs to identify end‑of‑life risks, single‑source exposure, and technical bottlenecks before design freeze.
• Develop should‑cost models and drive total cost of ownership reductions through negotiation and value engineering.
• Identify geopolitical or capacity‑related supply chain vulnerabilities and implement hedging and continuity plans.

Required profile

• 12+ years in global sourcing or commodity management, specifically with semiconductors or complex EE components.
• Direct sourcing experience in areas such as computing, perception, power & motion, connectivity, or interaction.
• BS in Engineering (EE preferred), Supply Chain, or Business Management.
• Proven track record of securing long‑term agreements with global manufacturers.
• Willingness to travel domestically and internationally about 25% of the time.

Required skills

• Experience with CPUs, GPUs, FPGAs, MCUs, DRAM, NAND.
• Knowledge of IMUs, radar, vision sensors, camera modules.
• Understanding of PMICs, battery management systems, motor controllers.
• Familiarity with USB, PCIe, CAN, Ethernet, wireless, display and touch technologies.
• Should‑cost modeling and value engineering.
