Senior Specialist – Global Molding Procurement

About the role

3M is seeking a Senior Specialist to lead Global Molding Procurement. In this role you will partner with internal stakeholders and external suppliers to drive cost‑effective sourcing, support new product introductions and manage complex supplier relationships worldwide.

Key responsibilities

• Provide category ownership for outsourced molding across 3M businesses and divisions.
• Develop and execute procurement strategies, negotiate contracts and lead supplier selection.
• Drive cost‑reduction initiatives and implement Should‑Cost models.
• Manage supplier relationships, including Supplier Managed Inventory (SMI) and consignment arrangements.
• Collaborate with Manufacturing, R&D, Marketing, Finance and Supply Chain Operations to align sourcing with business goals.
• Identify and mitigate category risks while improving cash flow in line with global policies.

Required profile

• Significant experience in strategic procurement, preferably within molding or related manufacturing environments.
• Proven ability to lead negotiations and manage complex supplier contracts.
• Strong analytical skills to evaluate cost structures and drive continuous improvement.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication across global teams.
