Senior Solution Architect - EdgeOne

About the role

Tencent's Cloud & Smart Industries Group (CSIG) is looking for a Senior Solution Architect for its EdgeOne team in Palo Alto, California. The role works with engineers and sales to turn customer needs into technical solutions that deliver value, and leads POC projects, implementation and initiatives. It is based in Palo Alto with about 10% travel.

Key responsibilities

• Drive adoption of Tencent Cloud products, identify customer needs and present tailored solutions
• Guide, train and enable internal business teams and external partners on product knowledge and best practices
• Track and lead the resolution of customer issues on Tencent Cloud security and performance products
• Work with global colleagues on international customer initiatives and projects
• Plan and organize cross-team programs and coordinate resources across geographies to improve service efficiency
• Clarify requirements, build relationships with partner teams, design features that drive business objectives and assess and mitigate risks
• Work with engineering teams to implement new or updated tools supporting team or business processes

Required profile

• 8+ years of relevant experience and a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Management Information Systems or a related field
• Customer-facing experience in IT, preferably as a Solution Engineer/Architect, Product Specialist or Technical Project Manager
• Excellent communication skills and ability to build trust with customers and partners
• Willingness to travel about 10% of the time

Required skills

• Familiarity with cloud security, content delivery, security event management, compliance and site performance
• Project management concepts and techniques
• Basic knowledge of web development, IT systems or security implementation concepts
• Understanding of the internet and network protocols (IP, DNS, routing, HTTP, TCP, web architecture)

What we offer

• Base pay of $141,200 to $265,300 per year, depending on knowledge, skills and experience
