Senior Software Engineer - Python / Django

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Senior Software Engineer to join our team and work on EnrollWise, a best‑in‑class admissions and enrollment platform for public school districts. You will focus on building and optimizing backend services using Python and Django while collaborating with a remote, cross‑functional team.

Key responsibilities

• Own and drive the development of new product features and enhance existing ones.
• Develop efficient, scalable software components and maintain high quality deliverables.
• Review pull requests and provide constructive feedback to teammates.
• Collaborate on requirements definition, product design, and sprint planning.
• Work closely with Product Managers and Designers to assess technical feasibility.
• Participate in evolving engineering quality standards and provide thought leadership on emerging technologies.

Required profile

• 4+ years of production experience with Python and Django.
• Experience with decoupled architectures and building secure, performant APIs.
• Strong familiarity with the AWS ecosystem and microservices design.
• Solid understanding of application security, performance optimization, and software architecture patterns.
• Ability to write scalable, reusable, testable code and comfortable with front‑end theming and CSS preprocessors.
• Excellent communication skills in English and strong problem‑solving abilities.
