Senior Software Engineer (IAM Engineering)

About the role

The Identity and Access Management (IAM) Engineering team is hiring a Senior Software Engineer for a long-term project (12+ months) based onsite in Burbank, CA. The engineer implements applications and user interfaces for IAM projects, acts as an expert in the team's tools, processes and technologies, and helps set and maintain UI/UX standards and best practices.

Key responsibilities

• Work with product owners, architects, developers, quality and reliability engineers to design, implement and deliver software user interface solutions according to story definitions.
• Follow and influence best practices for software development with the Engineering Manager, technical leads and architects.
• Support IAM capabilities with other service delivery groups across Enterprise Technology and the company.
• Perform peer code reviews for compliance, security, performance and best practices.
• Develop, enact and enforce documentation, coding, process, security and performance standards.

Required profile

• 5+ years of relevant industry experience.
• Solid understanding of software design principles, algorithms and data structures.
• Expertise with the full lifecycle of application development, including unit testing, code reviews and documentation.
• Expertise with secure development practices and methodologies.
• Experience with a wide range of data store technologies (MongoDB, Redis, Elasticsearch, Postgres, Neptune, DynamoDB).
• Agile methodology experience, including sprint planning.
• BS or BA in Computer Science or a comparable field, or equivalent work experience.

Required skills

• Proficiency in at least one core programming language (e.g., Java, Python or JavaScript).
• REST APIs or GraphQL for building and consuming web services.
• AWS core services (S3, Lambda, EC2).
• Docker, GitLab CI and Terraform/CloudFormation.
• Containerization and orchestration (Kubernetes).
• Preferred: 5+ years with SDLC tools (JIRA, GitHub/GitLab, Confluence), 2+ years with IAM systems, and integration with platforms such as Okta, SailPoint or CyberArk.
