Senior Software Engineer – Game Engine & World Systems

About the role

Applied Intuition is looking for a Senior Software Engineer to lead the design of the world representation layer within its Acuity autonomy stack. You will shape how spatial environments are structured, queried, and updated for high‑frequency autonomous operations across air, ground, and maritime domains.

Key responsibilities

• Architect and implement core world and scene representation systems, including Entity Component System frameworks and 4D spatial abstractions.
• Design high‑performance spatial indexing, occupancy representations, and data structures for large‑scale multi‑agent environments.
• Own the mapping and geometry pipelines that transform raw sensor data into usable world‑state information for downstream sensor fusion and path‑planning modules.
• Optimize computational geometry algorithms to meet real‑time constraints and ensure scalability.

Required profile

• Senior‑level professional with deep technical expertise in computational geometry, real‑time world modeling, and large‑scale simulation.
• Proven experience building world representations from the ground up in game engines, robotics simulators, or autonomous vehicle stacks.
• Demonstrated ability to deliver fast, accurate, and scalable solutions under operational constraints.
