Senior Software Engineer - Data Infrastructure

About the role

Applied Intuition is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join its Data & ML infrastructure team. The role focuses on building and scaling open‑source data infrastructure that supports the full data lifecycle across cloud, hybrid and on‑prem deployments.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and operate data collection, ingestion, storage, querying and retrieval systems for internal and external products.
• Scale infrastructure to handle massive data volumes across multiple regions and deployment models.
• Build and tune processing pipelines for fast data ingestion and indexing based on customer workloads.
• Expose performant query interfaces and integration hooks for product workflows.
• Collaborate with product, engineering and business teams to gather feedback and drive technical decisions.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or a related field.
• 3+ years of professional experience in software engineering.
• Hands‑on experience with large‑scale open‑source data infrastructure.
• Ability to work on‑site in Sunnyvale and participate in cross‑functional teams.
