Senior Software Engineer - Cloud RF Simulation

About the role

CACI is hiring a Senior Software Engineer in Denver to help a multidisciplinary engineering team meet the requirements of a mission simulation system. The engineer designs and develops advanced software architectures in a cloud-based RF simulation environment, evaluates design tradeoffs, defines technical standards and ensures software integrates seamlessly with complex RF solutions. The role works closely with RF hardware engineers, system designers and other stakeholders, and communicates risks and opportunities to program executive leadership.

Key responsibilities

• Design and create software for a cloud-based simulation environment that meets functional and non-functional requirements such as performance, scalability and reliability.
• Deploy and maintain systems using Linux, Docker, Kubernetes/Helm, ArgoCD and Git best practices, ensuring high uptime and performance.
• Evaluate and integrate technologies to improve the performance and efficiency of software components and virtual interfaces.
• Define and enforce technical standards for cloud software and infrastructure, and integrate simulation tools to support RF simulations.
• Create documentation of software architectures, design decisions and technical standards.

Required profile

• US citizen with an active Top Secret clearance and SCI eligibility.
• 7 years of proven software engineering experience and a Bachelor's degree or higher in computer engineering or a related field.
• Some knowledge of RF technologies, including antenna systems, signal processing, modulation techniques and wireless communication protocols.
• Hands-on experience supporting systems of similar scope and complexity.

Required skills

• 3+ years of hands-on experience with AWS, Docker, Kubernetes, Helm, Java, Spring Boot, Kafka, ActiveMQ, MongoDB and the Elastic Stack or similar.
• Experience with automated deployment pipelines using GitLab CI/CD, Jenkins, Nexus, Artifactory or similar.
• Experience with cloud infrastructure such as AWS and Kubernetes.
• Desired: MATLAB and Simulink, auto-scaling cloud infrastructure, Linux/Red Hat, and Python.
