Senior Software Engineer, AI Infrastructure

About the role

Mirantis, a company of IREN, is a Kubernetes-native AI infrastructure provider that helps organizations build and run scalable, secure and sovereign infrastructure for AI, machine learning and data-intensive applications. It is hiring a Senior Software Engineer for its AI Infrastructure team, working remotely on a small, remote-first team with a written culture.

Key responsibilities

• Design and build LLM serving infrastructure on Kubernetes, covering deployment, GPU scheduling, scaling and model lifecycle management.
• Package the platform for enterprise environments with Helm-based installs, upgrades and support for restricted or offline networks.
• Integrate the serving layer with the platform's API gateway, identity and metering services.
• Build observability for GPU inference in production, including serving metrics and GPU telemetry.
• Contribute across a multi-service codebase and help set engineering direction through design documents and code reviews.

Required profile

• 5+ years of software engineering experience in infrastructure, platform or distributed systems.
• Deep hands-on Kubernetes experience: building and operating production workloads and Helm charts, not just using managed clusters.
• Experience with GPU workloads or LLM inference, or strong adjacent systems experience and a track record of learning fast.
• Fluency with AI-assisted development tools such as Claude Code and OpenAI Codex as part of daily work.
• Comfortable with high autonomy on a small, remote-first team.

Required skills

• Strong Go programming skills.
• Solid CI/CD and infrastructure-as-code skills.
• Nice to have: inference performance work (quantization, batching, caching) or distributed serving frameworks, enterprise deployments (air-gapped installs, SSO/OIDC, supply-chain security), UI development (React/TypeScript) and open-source contributions in Kubernetes or ML infrastructure.
