Senior Site Reliability Engineer / Cloud Platform Engineer
Skyflow
Job description
About the role
Skyflow builds a multi-tenant, security-sensitive B2B cloud platform for enterprise customers worldwide, spanning multi-tenant environments and single-tenant (BYOC) deployments. This is a hands-on engineering role focused on writing Go and Python to turn infrastructure work into platform capabilities, with on-call, incident response and root-cause analysis. It is not a ticket-queue ops role.
Key responsibilities
- Build automation that provisions and manages cloud infrastructure across AWS and GCP, including onboarding, upgrades, scaling and decommissioning.
- Write production-grade Go and Python services and CLIs that give other engineering teams self-service platform capabilities.
- Own and evolve the IaC stack (Terraform/OpenTofu, Helm, GitOps/ArgoCD) and drive fleet migrations with minimal customer impact.
- Operate and scale Kubernetes clusters, service mesh (Istio), data stores (Aerospike, PostgreSQL), messaging (Kafka) and GPU-backed inference workloads, focusing on capacity planning and cost efficiency.
- Improve observability and alerting, and turn repeat incidents into permanent fixes.
- Work with enterprise customers to design reusable Terraform modules, Helm charts and self-service tooling, and own the infrastructure side of customer onboarding.
- Take part in on-call rotations, lead incident response and write root-cause analyses.
- Partner with security and compliance stakeholders to embed secrets management, access control, network policy and audit logging into the platform.
Required profile
- 8+ years in platform, infrastructure, DevOps or SRE roles with ownership of production cloud infrastructure.
- Track record of building tools or platforms used by other engineers.
- Comfort working in a B2B environment with enterprise customers, where changes carry compliance, security and contractual weight.
- Strong incident-response instincts and a bias toward root-causing and automating.
- Ability to lead, mentor and guide junior platform engineers.
Required skills
- Go and/or Python, with tested, maintainable code.
- Kubernetes in production and IaC tooling such as Terraform, Pulumi or OpenTofu.
- At least one major public cloud (AWS, GCP or Azure).
- Nice to have: Istio, ArgoCD, OPA, stateful systems, PCI/SOC 2/HIPAA environments, cost optimization, open-source contributions or an internal developer platform.
What we offer
- Work from home expense
- Health insurance options
- Very generous PTO and flexible hours
- Generous equity
