Senior Site Manager – Industrial Automation

About the role

We are looking for a Senior Site Manager to lead the installation, startup, and field execution of industrial automation and controls projects. This player‑coach position blends hands‑on troubleshooting with team leadership, subcontractor coordination, and direct customer interaction.

Key responsibilities

• Lead on‑site electrical and controls installation for assigned projects.
• Coordinate daily activities with technicians, subcontractors, customers, and project stakeholders.
• Drive installation readiness, work planning, and execution performance.
• Oversee third‑party installation partners to ensure safety, quality, and schedule adherence.
• Manage field service personnel, providing coaching, support, and performance feedback.
• Support troubleshooting, startup, commissioning, qualification, and turnover activities.
• Perform installation verification, quality inspections, and field audits.
• Maintain project documentation such as redlines, as‑builts, issue logs, and turnover packages.
• Lead punch‑list management and ensure closure prior to customer handoff.
• Participate in customer meetings, site coordination meetings, and project status reviews.
• Enforce safety standards including LOTO, PPE requirements, and safe work practices.

Required profile

• 7+ years of experience in industrial automation, commissioning, or electrical installation environments.
• 3+ years leading field teams, subcontractors, or site execution activities.
• Strong ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, panel drawings, device layouts, network drawings, and installation packages.
• Proven track record managing safety, quality, schedule, and documentation requirements in the field.
• Excellent communication and customer‑facing abilities.
• Willingness to travel extensively (60‑80%).
