Senior Risk Analyst

About the role

Apogee Global RMS, a veteran-led advisory firm at the intersection of risk, talent and cybersecurity, is seeking a Senior Risk Analyst in San Jose on a contract basis. The role supports cross-domain research, client engagements and enterprise-risk assessments within the firm's integrated risk practice, contributing to its Nexus of Risk framework that connects strategic, operational, financial, human-capital and technology risk. It suits an analytical, curious, detail-driven professional who wants exposure to executive-level advisory work.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct cross-domain risk research across strategic, operational, financial, human-capital, cyber and regulatory domains
• Support risk dashboards, assessments and client deliverables
• Analyze industry trends, threat landscapes and organizational vulnerabilities
• Help map critical roles, succession gaps and workforce-continuity risks
• Contribute to risk-intelligence briefs, reports and executive summaries
• Review client data, documentation and workflows to identify exposure points
• Support advisory engagements with structured analysis and clear documentation
• Take part in internal reviews, scoping sessions and client meetings as needed
• Maintain disciplined sourcing, traceability and analytic rigor

Required profile

• Strong analytical and research skills, able to turn complex information into clear insights
• Excellent written communication and documentation discipline
• Familiarity with risk concepts such as enterprise, cyber, operational and human-capital risk
• Experience with structured analysis, data review or intelligence-style work is a plus
• Comfortable working independently in a remote, fast-paced environment
• Structured thinker, curious about how organizations operate, comfortable with ambiguity and a strong communicator
