Senior Risk Analyst, Assurance & Risk Advisory (Internal Audit)

About the role

Stryker's Assurance and Risk Advisory (ARA) function is looking for a Senior Risk Analyst with financial and audit expertise. The role executes audits and tests of internal controls, covering technical accounting, audit concepts and the business processes that affect financial reporting. It is open to remote, hybrid or onsite work, with candidates living within 50 miles of the Flower Mound, TX; Portage, MI or Mahwah, NJ locations expected to work from the office one day per week, and the Eastern or Central time zone preferred.

Key responsibilities

• Execute audit projects, including SOX testing, with a focus on internal controls over financial reporting
• Identify and assess risks and evaluate controls for compliance with industry standards and regulations
• Provide insights on financial assurance standards, regulations and emerging risks
• Recommend improvements to strengthen financial and operational processes and controls
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams on audits and team initiatives
• Use digital tools to improve audit execution and build technical skills
• Draft clear reports on findings, remediation actions and project outcomes

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance or a related field
• At least 2 years of relevant experience, ideally in public accounting or a finance/audit role at a large public company
• Knowledge of internal audit methodologies and practices
• Familiarity with business processes affecting financial reporting (e.g., inventory, procure-to-pay)
• Preferred: CPA, CIA or similar certification; Big Four experience

• Pay ranges depending on U.S. location, from $69,500 to $133,100 annually
