Senior Revenue Accountant

About the role

Runway‑ml is seeking a detail‑oriented Senior Revenue Accountant to build and scale its revenue accounting function. The role covers revenue recognition for both B2B and B2C products, invoicing, collections, accounts receivable and deferred revenue, and works closely with Sales, FP&A, Legal and external auditors.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare journal entries, AR and deferred revenue reconciliations, aging reports and flux analyses for all revenue‑related accounts.
• Conduct technical accounting analyses: review contracts, identify performance obligations, determine standalone selling prices, calculate impacts of contract modifications and apply ASC 606 revenue recognition.
• Manage the full‑cycle Order‑to‑Cash process, including invoicing, cash application, collections and resolution of billing disputes.
• Identify and implement process improvements, leveraging AI to modernize accounting workflows.
• Build revenue recognition workbooks for new products and pricing models, and serve as a key point of contact for external audit requests.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field; CPA a plus.
• 4+ years of progressive revenue accounting experience, including ASC 606 in a SaaS or technology environment.
• Experience with NetSuite, Salesforce or comparable ERP/CRM systems and advanced Excel/Google Sheets skills.
• Solid knowledge of internal controls and audit coordination.
• Detail‑oriented, proactive and comfortable working in an ambiguous, fast‑moving environment.
