Senior Manager / Associate Director Restructuring & Transformation (Midwest US)

About the role

Mutares, a listed private equity holding company that buys and repositions medium-sized companies, is hiring a Senior Manager / Associate Director for Restructuring & Transformation. The role works on-site at portfolio companies across the US territory, within the Transformation Management Office (TMO) team, supporting them through their turnaround journey.

Key responsibilities

• Support portfolio companies through their turnaround, working closely with the management board and the Mutares team
• Establish a business plan including a turnaround concept and drive its implementation with the Operations team and the portfolio company, managing stakeholders
• Assess strategic decisions such as insourcing/outsourcing together with local teams and Mutares
• Support the acquisition and integration of add-on acquisitions
• Set up management governance and coherent tracking and reporting within the portfolio company

Required profile

• Degree in economics, engineering, science or similar with outstanding results
• At least 6 years of experience in transformations, restructuring or turnaround situations
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, entrepreneurial mindset and hands-on approach
• Fluent English, able to communicate clearly and concisely
• Willingness to travel up to 4 days per week (typically Monday to Thursday) and to work in an international environment
