Senior Research Associate – Behavioral Community Research

About the role

The University of Miami/UHealth Department of SCCC Behavioral Community Shared Resource is seeking a full‑time Senior Research Associate to lead and support complex community‑based and behavioral health research projects on the UHealth medical campus.

Key responsibilities

• Collect, analyze, and present research data, ensuring high quality and accuracy.
• Maintain and monitor research databases for correct data entry.
• Interpret research protocols, oversee day‑to‑day study implementation, and supervise participant recruitment.
• Lead multidisciplinary research teams, manage relationships with community partners and funding agencies.
• Ensure compliance with university, unit‑level policies, and applicable regulations.
• Contribute to scientific publications, including authorship of monographs.
• Mentor and train junior research staff and students.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in a relevant field.
• At least five years of experience conducting community‑based or behavioral health research.
• Strong ability to collect, organize, and analyze data.
• Excellent problem‑solving and sound judgment for critical decisions.
