Senior React + Node Engineer (Financial background) – Remote – USA

About the role

FullStackFullStack is seeking a Senior React + Node Engineer with a financial background to join its remote team serving top global companies and Silicon Valley startups. You will work either as a team‑augmentation member embedded with a client’s engineering group or as part of a full‑stack product team delivering end‑to‑end solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Integrate with client teams to design, develop, and maintain high‑quality web applications.
• Build and evolve financial data reconciliation systems, ensuring ledger accuracy and audit‑ready reporting.
• Design, implement, and support micro‑services and distributed architectures.
• Develop REST APIs using modern frameworks such as Koa.js or Express.
• Collaborate in Agile/Scrum environments to deliver features on schedule.

Required profile

• 5+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• Advanced English proficiency.
• Completed a four‑year college degree.
• Strong problem‑solving mindset and attention to detail.

Required skills

• Node.js (versions 18‑22)
• React with hooks, Redux/Redux Saga
• PostgreSQL – advanced SQL, schema design, query optimization
• Koa.js or Express for REST API development
• ORM tools: Objection.js, Sequelize, or TypeORM
• AWS services: S3, SQS, RDS, EC2
• Docker and Docker Compose
• CI/CD pipelines (CircleCI, GitHub Actions) and GitOps practices
• Authentication mechanisms: JWT, OAuth, MSAL (Azure AD)
• Testing frameworks: Jest, Mocha, Supertest
• APM tools: DataDog, New Relic
• Feature‑flag management: LaunchDarkly
• Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies
