Senior Quality Manager – Solar Manufacturing

About the role

Tesla Energy seeks an experienced Quality Leader to build a world‑class quality organization for its solar manufacturing site. You will drive product and process excellence across engineering, supply chain, production, commissioning and service teams, ensuring safe, reliable energy solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Lead quality engineers supporting production lines and create a network of best practices across factories.
• Own product quality throughout its lifecycle using Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) and continuous improvement methods.
• Establish and monitor clear quality metrics for the site and Energy business.
• Drive root‑cause problem solving for production and field failures.
• Maintain compliance with ISO 9001, NRTL, TUV, Intertek, UL and customer audits.
• Manage a 24×7 quality assurance team, ensuring consistent standard work and rapid issue resolution.

Required profile

• Degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Materials or Industrial Engineering or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of quality leadership in high‑volume manufacturing, preferably with electric grid infrastructure equipment.
• Proven ability to build and lead high‑performing teams in a 24×7 environment.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize in a dynamic production setting.
