Senior Project Manager, Research Support

About the role

The University of Miami/UHealth Department of Public Health seeks a full‑time Senior Project Manager to lead and coordinate complex clinical research studies. The role ensures projects align with institutional objectives, maintain regulatory compliance, and deliver high‑quality results.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee multiple interrelated research projects, ensuring alignment with university goals.
• Develop detailed project plans, estimates, and resource allocations.
• Monitor project schedules, quality standards, and internal controls.
• Prepare and present status reports for senior leadership.
• Manage and evaluate staff performance, including research assistants, coordinators, and phlebotomists.
• Lead the Clinical Research Quality Assurance team, reviewing QA monitoring reports and SOPs.
• Ensure compliance with research protocols, Good Clinical Practices, and federal regulations.
• Facilitate effective communication among study team members and resolve operational issues.

Required profile

• Proven experience managing large‑scale clinical research projects.
• Strong knowledge of regulatory requirements (GCP, FDA, IRB).
• Demonstrated ability to lead multidisciplinary teams and conduct performance reviews.
• Excellent problem‑solving and critical‑thinking skills.
• Experience preparing project documentation and quality‑control reports.
