Senior Project Manager – Program Management

About the role

The Senior Project Manager leads complex aerospace component projects, ensuring technical, schedule and cost performance align with contract requirements. The role oversees the full project lifecycle, reports performance, and manages customer expectations.

Key responsibilities

• Develop independent cost and schedule estimates, including risk and opportunity assessments for bids and proposals.
• Create and maintain Integrated Master Schedules, tracking progress from start to finish.
• Maintain risk and opportunity registers, develop mitigation and contingency plans.
• Allocate resources with resource managers and resolve conflicts to meet delivery dates.
• Control project scope through change management and prepare change proposals for customers.
• Calculate Estimate at Completion (EAC) and Estimate to Completion (ETC) and develop mitigation plans.
• Perform variance analysis and manage Earned Value Management (EVM) processes, generating performance indices and reports.
• Negotiate updates to project plans for cost and schedule changes.
• Document and share lessons learned at project completion.
• Integrate supplier tasks into schedules to prevent delays.
• Serve as liaison among project teams, senior leadership, and customers.

Required profile

• Advanced use of project management tools and techniques for complex projects.
• Strong understanding of formal project management methodologies (e.g., PMI standards).
• Experience managing cost‑reimbursable, time & materials, and firm‑fixed‑price contracts.
• Advanced understanding of financial forecasting and cost accounting principles.
• Strong conflict‑resolution skills regarding technical requirements, scope, resource allocation, and supplier delays.
