Senior Project Manager (Federal Health IT)

About the role

PBG is looking for a PMP‑ and Scrum‑certified Senior Project Manager to lead a high‑visibility Health IT program for a large federal agency. This senior leadership position blends agile project management, data‑center and cloud expertise, and extensive stakeholder coordination.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and oversee program and project management across multiple IT initiatives.
• Drive agile PMO operations – sprint planning, backlog management, governance, and reporting using JIRA.
• Provide senior‑level advisory support on data‑center operations, cloud hosting services, and IT infrastructure strategy.
• Manage schedules, risks, issues, and dependencies for large‑scale, multi‑stakeholder programs.
• Support stakeholder engagement, communications, change management, and adoption activities.
• Apply Human‑Centered Design principles for requirements gathering and solution planning.
• Facilitate executive‑level meetings, ensure clear documentation, and deliver data‑driven reports.
• Develop IT governance frameworks and mentor junior project managers.
• Maintain the program’s master schedule and dashboard, using CAPMS and SharePoint.

Required profile

• PMP and Scrum certification.
• 15+ years of experience in agile project management and IT infrastructure.
• Proven leadership in federal health‑care environments.
• Hands‑on knowledge of health‑IT program architecture, scheduling, and stakeholder coordination.
