Senior Project Engineer – Test Equipment

About the role

Moog is seeking a Senior Project Engineer to lead the design and development of test equipment for its Space & Defense Group in Arvada, CO. You will work on hydraulic, electro‑hydraulic, electro‑mechanical, servo‑mechanism, and electro‑pneumatic systems that verify the performance of products used in military, commercial, and space vehicles.

Key responsibilities

• Design and develop new test equipment, assemblies, and processes to meet cost, schedule, and performance goals.
• Coordinate the work of drafters, technicians, designers, analysts, and manufacturing engineers.
• Establish and monitor project budgets and schedules, perform trade studies and analyses.
• Prepare proposals, cost estimates, and technical documentation.
• Support assembly of test equipment and mentor junior engineers.
• Collaborate with program, quality, and operations teams to ensure successful integration.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Aeronautical, or Electrical Engineering.
• 5+ years of engineering experience, including 3 years leading technical projects.
• Ability to obtain a U.S. security clearance.
• Proven experience with design, analysis, development, and production of complex electromechanical hardware.
• Strong analytical skills and ability to manage competing priorities.
