Senior Program Coordinator – Medical Education

About the role

The University of Miami’s UHealth Department Medical Student Education seeks a full‑time Senior Program Coordinator to support Phase 3 courses and rotations. The role provides administrative assistance to faculty, serves as a liaison with students and external partners, and helps manage departmental budgets.

Key responsibilities

• Provide administrative support to faculty and act as liaison between faculty, students, and other universities.
• Manage day‑to‑day administration of Phase 3 courses and clinical rotations, including scheduling, enrollment, and grade processing.
• Coordinate student registration, clinic schedules, team assignments, and ensure alignment with clinical site availability.
• Develop, monitor, and report on monthly departmental budgets.
• Maintain databases, enrollment records, and prepare faculty payroll.
• Organize open houses, events, and logistics for Phase 3 activities.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum three years of relevant administrative experience.
• Ability to analyze, organize, and prioritize work under pressure while meeting deadlines.
• Experience handling confidential information with discretion.
• Willingness to work evenings, nights, and weekends as needed.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
• Database maintenance and data entry.
• Experience using learning management systems (LMS) such as CaneLink.
