Senior Program Associate – Center for Innovations in Community Safety

About the role

The Center for Innovations in Community Safety (CICS) at Georgetown Law seeks a Senior Program Associate to lead and manage a portfolio of complex projects focused on community safety initiatives and democratic policing. This role collaborates closely with faculty, university partners, and community stakeholders to drive impactful reforms.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and execute projects within CICS priority areas, including operational innovations, policy development, and training.
• Manage relationships with key partners, oversee personnel, and coordinate communications.
• Collaborate with Georgetown University offices such as Financial Affairs, Human Resources, Development, Communications, and General Counsel.
• Report directly to the Executive Director of CICS and contribute to strategic planning.

Required profile

• Undergraduate degree with 3‑5 years of project or program management experience, preferably in criminal legal system reform, police reform, or violence prevention.
• Demonstrated commitment to reducing harms of the criminal legal system and to anti‑oppression, especially anti‑racism.
• Strong collaborative, planning, organizational, creative, and critical‑thinking abilities.
• Capacity to thrive in a fast‑paced, changing environment and manage a significant workload independently.
• Willingness to travel as needed.
