Senior Production Manager

About the role

The Senior Production Manager is accountable for directing plant production activities, leading the production team, and ensuring quality products are shipped to meet business and customer requirements. This role also assumes full plant operations responsibilities in the absence of the Plant Manager.

Key responsibilities

• Direct plant production activities and ensure quality products are shipped to meet business and customer requirements.
• Manage production capacity, manpower, equipment and external resources through planning, organizing and scheduling to minimize losses and optimize profitability.
• Lead a team of 8 supervisors and approximately 170 salaried and hourly employees, providing coaching, discipline and mentorship.
• Oversee safety and environmental programs, ensuring compliance and thorough incident investigations.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Operations Management or a related field (preferred).
• 5–7 years of progressive operational management experience in a food or beverage manufacturing environment.
• Experience working with a unionized workforce is beneficial.
• Proven ability to apply continuous‑improvement methodologies such as TPM.
