Senior Product Designer – Meeting Lifecycle

About the role

Read AI is seeking a Senior Product Designer to own the live meeting and capture experience. You will ensure users understand Read’s status without distraction, handle failures gracefully, and maintain trust and control for all participants.

Key responsibilities

• Design the live capture experience across desktop, mobile, web, bots, and native integrations.
• Define communication of Read’s state so users know it is working without leaving the meeting.
• Handle failure, recovery, and missed meetings, including permission denials and partial captures.
• Design disclosure, consent, notification, objection, and opt‑out experiences to balance transparency and focus.
• Create a consistent customer‑facing model for capture state across surfaces while allowing platform‑specific patterns.

Required profile

• 5+ years of product design experience with independent ownership of complex product areas.
• Strong interaction and visual craft demonstrated in shipped products.
• Systems thinking to create coherence across multiple surfaces and mechanisms.
• Proven ability to shape product direction from problem framing through launch and evaluation.
• Comfort working with technical constraints and distinguishing real limitations from assumptions.

Required skills

• Experience designing multi‑state experiences with edge cases, failure modes, and recovery paths.
• Ability to prototype complex behavior for realistic interaction testing.
• Fluency with AI‑assisted design workflows and judgment about AI’s impact on product experience.
