Senior Process Engineering Specialist

About the role

The Senior Process Engineering Specialist joins Nestlé’s Technical Applications Group to lead and support machinery maintenance, capability evaluation, training and modifications across pet‑food factories. The role focuses on continuous improvement of dry pet food production, partnering with diverse internal teams and providing hands‑on technical support at multiple sites.

Key responsibilities

• Provide leadership and support for machinery maintenance, capability evaluation, training and modifications across factories.
• Support continuous improvement of dry pet food production processes by evaluating capabilities, identifying limitations and recommending cost‑effective solutions.
• Partner with cross‑functional teams including marketing, R&D, engineering, operations, quality assurance, procurement, production and finance.
• Deliver technical process support at multiple manufacturing sites, troubleshoot challenges, support trials and validate equipment or process changes.
• Assist with capital improvement projects, line enhancements and capability studies, balancing analytical problem‑solving with hands‑on manufacturing support.
• Travel 50–60 % to manufacturing sites to build relationships and understand site‑specific equipment and process flows.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in food sciences, engineering or related field with 5+ years of process/product design and engineering experience, OR High School/GED with 9+ years of equivalent experience.
• Willingness and ability to travel 50–60 % of the time.
